Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Qatar Shell have organized a two-day workshop as part of preparations for the fourth season of Il'Ab WeYana, an extra-curricular school program targeted at boys and girls aged 7-16 years.

The program is part of the award winning KOORA TIME initiative created by QFA and Qatar Shell, and is based on Foundation FC Barcelona's (FFCB) FutbolNet methodology which uses football to develop healthy habits and encourage positive behavioral change. It provides each participant with over 100 hours of extra-curricular physical activity.

More than 45 Qatari coaches from QFA and Qatar Women's Sports Committee took part in the workshop that focused on six educational units on the importance of sport and its role in enjoying a healthy life.

Since its inception, KOORA TIME initiative has been recognized three times for the positive impact of Qatar Shell's social responsibility program on society. In 2014, it won the Dream Asia award from the Asian Football Confederation and was named best youth development initiative at the Sport Industry Awards 2014. It also won Dar Al-Sharq award for social responsibility as the best sports initiative.
