France's Secretary of State for Sport Thierry Braillard said Saturday that the upcoming FIFA World Cup, scheduled to take place in Qatar in 2022, will be successful at all levels.
There is currently a significant cooperation between France and Qatar in various fields, including sports, in addition to around 40 French investing companies active in Qatar that strive to provide the highest quality of services in completing projects, Braillard said in a press conference in Doha.
He also mentioned that his current visit to Qatar is to bolster sports ties between the two countries, praising the two countries' distinctive relations, especially in the sports economy field.
The French official also said that he plans, while in Doha, to market his country's bid to host the 2024 Olympic games, especially since Paris is currently facing a fierce completion from Los Angeles to host the Games. (end) nnd.ma
