Martin Baturina, the 21-year-old Croatian midfielder currently playing for Dinamo Zagreb, has reportedly turned down a potential move to Real Madrid, according to recent reports from "SPORT".

Baturina, often dubbed the "new Modric" due to his playing style resembling that of Real Madrid's Luka Modric, has attracted significant attention in Croatia for his impressive performances at both the club and international levels.

Baturina’s current contract with Dinamo Zagreb runs until June 2028, but the club is open to selling him for around €25 million. Despite interest from top clubs like Real Madrid, Baturina has rejected an offer from the Spanish giants, primarily due to their proposal, which involved a two-year loan at another La Liga club, an arrangement he found unappealing.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain has emerged as the frontrunner for Baturina's signature. The French club is reportedly in advanced talks to secure his transfer, with a potential offer nearing €25 million expected during the upcoming winter transfer window.

However, Dinamo Zagreb prefers to retain Baturina until the end of the current season before allowing him to leave. So far this season, the Croatian talent has been in stellar form, featuring in 20 matches, scoring two goals, and providing seven assists. He has also earned nine caps for the Croatian national team and was included in the squad for the UEFA European Championship, further solidifying his reputation as one of Croatia’s most promising young stars.
