Paris 2024 Olympics: Bahrain wins second gold medal

Bahrain’s Akhmed Magomedovich Tazhudinov won gold in the men’s freestyle wrestling 97kg competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Sunday.

The 21-year-old Russian-born Bahraini won the final match against Givi Matcharashvili of Georgia at the Champ-de-Mars Arena.

Tazhudinov's gold is the second for Bahrain and fourth overall in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
