Argentine football legend Diego Maradona said Saturday he supports Jordan's Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein in the campaign to dethrone Joseph Blatter as president of the world governing body FIFA.
"He has my full support to change FIFA, once and for all," Maradona said on his Facebook account.
Maradona showed a picture of himself and Prince Ali from Vienna where the UEFA Congress took place earlier in the week.
Prince Ali is running for the FIFA presidency along with Portugal's Luis Figo and Dutch federation president Michael van Praag. Blatter himself is seeking a fifth term at the the secret ballot on May 29 in Zurich during the FIFA Congress.
Argentine sports daily Ole on Saturday quoted Maradona as saying "I don't defend corruption and want to help change the future of football."
The report said Maradona is at odds with Blatter and that the current leadership barred him from entering stadiums at last year's World Cup in Brazil.
