Manchester United are reportedly in contact with former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri as they consider sacking Erik ten Hag.

The Daily Express says United have lined up the Italian coach as a potential replacement to their current under-fire manager.

The Red Devils have not had the best of starts to the new season, despite being active in the summer transfer market.

Therefore, United's officials have turned to Allegri, who previously won the Serie A title five times while at Juve.

The 57-year-old is currently unemployed after leaving Juventus at the end of last season.
