Manchester United are reportedly interested in Manchester City target Ruben Amorim.
The Sporting CP coach has been tipped to succeed Pep Guardiola at City in recent days.
However, Sky Deutschland's Christian Falk says the Red Devils are also eyeing the 39-year-old.
He said, as quoted by Tribal Football: "Ruben Amorim is not only on the list at Manchester City as a possible replacement for Pep Guardiola, but Manchester United in particular are also interested in him.
"United have already made specific inquiries about him and his situation. The Red Devils want to be prepared but still trust Erik ten Hag for now.
"Amorim is not planning a move in winter since he has big ambitions with Sporting.
"However, his contract, which is valid until 2026, includes a release clause next summer."
Manchester United are being criticized constantly due to their poor form, despite spending heavily during the summer on new deals.
