Manchester City star Julian Alvarez is on the verge of leaving for Atletico Madrid this summer, according to The Mail.

The Argentina international is said to be unhappy with his situation at City, as he is considered the second choice for manager Pep Guardiola behind Erling Haaland.

It now appears that Alvarez is closing in on a move to LaLiga for a mega fee.

Atletico have reportedly offered Joao Felix as a makeweight in the deal, but the proposal has been rejected.

Therefore, the Spanish giants are set to pay around £70 million to bring in the 24-year-old to Madrid.
