Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim remained coy on his future amid reports linking him with taking over at Liverpool.

The Lisbon-based side clinched a 2-1 victory over rivals Benfica on Saturday to remain on top of Liga Portugal.

The coach was asked after the game if winning the title this season would be enough for him to stay at the club.

However, Amorim replied by saying, as quoted by Tribal Football: "I wasn't talking about the future, I always want to answer, but there are things I can't answer.

"Last year we came in fourth place and I thought I had to do something different, it couldn't be the same."

The 39-year-old's deal with Sporting CP expires in 2026.
