Liverpool v Chelsea: Projected lineups as Reds look to climb closer to history

Liverpool may have been beaten at Stamford Bridge earlier this season, but the Reds are playing with a desire for victory that has not been seen in the league all season.

The home side truly look like they are finally ready to end their Premier League title drought and a victory over Chelsea will see the Blues mathematically eliminated and the Reds only a point from clinching their most coveted piece of silverware in years.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claimed that he would be playing a weaker side against Liverpool, but that is unlikely to change how Brendan Rodgers prepares for the visiting Blues, and there really is nothing weak about Chelsea no matter whom is on the pitch.

Rodgers is still without Jordan Henderson, but is expected to see Daniel Sturridge return to the first team and he is expected to take the place of Lucas Leiva in the total eleven for the weekend.

Pter Cech will miss the match for Chelsea as well both Eden Hazard and John Terry as well as Samuel Eto'o for injury and Ramires misses due to his suspension.

Fernando Torres could start against the Reds, but Demba Ba is believed to be the first choice as Torres is going to be rested for his other former side, Atletico Madrid in midweek.

Liverpool XI: Mignolet: Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Flanagan; Allen, Gerrard, Coutinho; Sterling, Sturridge, Suarez.

Chelsea XI: Schwarzer: Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Cole; Lampard, Mikel, Matic; Salah, Ba, Schurrle.
