Kaylia Nemour wins first Olympic gold medal for Algeria in gymnastics

Kaylia Nemour gave Algeria its first ever Olympic medal in gymnastics after winning gold at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on Sunday.

The 17-year-old claimed artistic gymnastics women's uneven bars gold with an impressive score of 15.700, followed by reigning world champion Qiu Qiyuan from China. Qiu scored 15.600.

Suni Lee grabbed the bronze medal with a score of 14.800 at the Bercy Arena in Paris.
