Jordan’s squash star Mohammad Al Sarraj has continued his superb form by winning the Amsterdam Open squash title, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee News Service.

The 19-year-old is closing in on a top 100 world ranking spot following his 3-1 win in the final over Britain’s Lyell Fuller.

Seeded five for the tournament, Al Sarraj beat Marc ter Sluis of the Netherlands 3-1 in the first round before claiming the scalp of another Dutch player, Bart Ravelli, in the quarter-finals.

In the last four he upset second seed Ahsan Ayez 3-1 to meet the sixth seeded Fuller in the final.

Sarraj headed to Egypt for the Ghunah Championship, featuring 122 players from 30 countries and a total prize pot of $315,000, which got under way on Wednesday.

He will meet Egyptian Mohammad Reda, who is ranked 42nd in the world, in the first round.
