Jordan Qualifies for World Basketball Championship 2019

Jordan qualified for the World Basketball Championship with a 86-80 win at home in the Asian qualifiers.

The Jordanian team reached the World Basketball Championship for the second time after the first in 2010 in Turkey.

The Jordanian Team moved up to 19 points in third place, with New Zealand leading with 21 points, followed by South Korea with 20 points and China with 19 points. The Lebanese and Syrian teams did not qualify as they ended with 18 points and 14 respectively.

The 2019 championship will be the largest in the history of the International Basketball Association, with 32 teams, seven teams /plus China/ from Asia, five teams from Africa, seven teams from the Americas and 12 teams from Europe.
