Serie A newcomers Como officially announced the signing of Iraqi star Ali Jasim on a free transfer.

The left-winger spent last season on loan at Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, before the end of his deal with Al-Kahrbaa Club.

The 20-year-old has been exceptional while on international duty with Iraq's Olympic team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He scored his country's winning goal against Ukraine on Wednesday, and was highly praised for his overall performance.

Jasim had his medical in Paris, ahead of signing a three-year deal with the newly-promoted club.

Como has been active in the transfer market this summer, having already brought in the likes of Pepe Reina, Andrea Belotti and Alberto Moreno.

They are also working on signing Raphael Varane, who is currently a free agent following the end of his deal at Manchester United.

Como manager Cesc Fabregas is doing his best to ensure that he would have a competitive squad under his disposal for the new season.
