An international sports forum held in Kuwait on Sunday emphasized that illegal substances such as steroids have no place in the world of sports.

The talks, sponsored by Kuwait's Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri, revolved around plans to develop the sports sector in the wider Arab region, the forum's organizer Abdullah Al-Ghassab told KUNA.

He suggested assembling a committee of experts to set in motion a raft of sports reforms, including measures to promote "healthy competition" with the use of the most modern and cutting-edge technologies.

The reforms encompass women's and adaptive sports, the official added.

Meanwhile, the forum honored its "strategic media partner" KUNA, represented by its Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Director General for the Editorial Sector Saad Al-Ali.
