Guti has encouraged Real Madrid to bring back Zinedine Zidane for a third spell.
The Spanish giants are set to to replace current coach Carlo Ancelotti as his deal runs down this season.
The former Real midfielder believes that Zidane's return could be the best choice.
He also recommended Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso as a potential replacement for Ancelotti.
Guti spoke to El Chiringuito and said as quoted by Tribal Football: "I think that, if we look at the results, he is the best coach that Real Madrid has had in recent years.
"He knows the club, he knows Florentino (Perez, president), he knows how things go. He has the right profile for Real Madrid, like Ancelotti.
"But I think Xabi Alonso also has this type of profile."
