Hansi Flick's Barcelona is proving to be an attacking force of nature, solidifying their seventh consecutive La Liga victory with a spectacular 4-2 triumph over Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano. The German tactician has undeniably transformed the team into a relentless offensive unit, and the statistics speak volumes.

Barcelona has now notched four or more goals in an impressive 19 out of their 43 official matches this season, underscoring the intense attacking philosophy instilled by Flick.

A Look at Their Scoring Spree

Among their notable victims are none other than Real Madrid, who suffered a humiliating 0-4 defeat at the Bernabeu and a 2-5 loss in the Super Cup final, and Atletico Madrid, against whom they played out a thrilling 4-4 draw in the Copa del Rey before their recent La Liga victory. Bayern Munich also fell victim to their firepower, succumbing to a 4-1 defeat, demonstrating Barcelona's ability to dismantle Europe's elite.

In total, the Catalan giants have found the net a staggering 75 times in La Liga and 132 times across all competitions. Only Bayern Munich can rival their goal-scoring record among Europe's top leagues, although the German side has played one game less. Beyond them, only four other clubs have managed to surpass the 100-goal mark this season: PSG (113), Real Madrid (111), Bayern Munich (111), and Liverpool (106). However, all of them trail significantly behind Barcelona's prolific numbers.

Chasing History

If Barcelona maintains their current scoring rate of 3.06 goals per game, they could potentially finish the season with an astonishing 187 goals. This would place them within touching distance of the club and European record set during the 2011-12 season under Pep Guardiola, when Barcelona scored 190 goals, fueled by Lionel Messi's extraordinary 73-goal campaign.

With the possibility of playing up to 18 more matches, including potential finals in the Copa del Rey and Champions League, Flick's squad stands on the verge of etching their names into football history.
