The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has dismissed claims of offering financial incentives to convince Barcelona's winger Lamine Yamal to switch international allegiances from Spain.

Reports alleged that the Moroccans offered the youngster incentives and tried to pressure him to commit to them.

However the FRMF revealed in a statement: "It is absolutely false and there is no proof.

"The Moroccan Federation has respected the decision of Lamine Yamal, as it did with other footballers of Moroccan origin who chose to compete with other national teams despite the great efforts made to convince emerging players.

Yamal is currently suffering from a knock that forced him to leave Spain's camp ahead of games against Scotland and Norway in the coming days.
