Sweden secured their first 3 points in their opening match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a well-deserved victory over Tunisia in Group F.

The Swedes announced themselves as the dominant side from the beginning, and opened the scoring in a match that ultimately ended 5-1.

Match Highlights and Goals

Graham Potter’s team started the goal fest through Yasin Ayari in the 7th minute, then Alexander Isak added the second one in the 30th minute.

Tunisia tried to come back despite their disappointing performance and scored their only goal in the 43rd minute through Omar Rekik.
Sweden once again scored to end any hope for the African side. This time it was Arsenal’s star Viktor Gyokeres in the 59th minute, followed by another goal from Mattias Svanberg. The fifth and final goal was scored once again by Yasin Ayari.
