Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he will not be worried even if rivals Manchester City and Chelsea go on a massive spending spree this summer.

Hitting out at City and Chelsea, the Scot said that United's lack of cash is more than made up for in class and talent when it comes to luring top players to Old Trafford, the Daily Star reports.

Revealing that he has already started work on landing his summer targets four months ago, Ferguson is confident that his side will not miss out despite lacking the same spending power of their closest challengers.

Ferguson hoped that the players that he will be bringing into the club in the near future would be of the required quality, adding that although they do not have money like Chelsea and City, they are also competitive in the market.

United's owners, the Glazers, have told Ferguson that he can spend whatever is needed.

Ferguson has already drawn up a hit-list as he looks to make them an even bigger force, which includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski , Leighton Baines, Frank Lampard and James Rodriguez, the report added. (ANI)
