Holders Spain will face Ukraine in the qualifying stage of the 2016 European Championships.
The Euro 2012 winners were drawn with the previous competition's hosts in Sunday's draw for the qualifying stage in Nice, while they will also face Slovakia, Belarus, Macedonia and Luxembourg in Group B.
Elsewhere, Netherlands will meet the Czech Republic and Turkey in Group A, while Group H matches up Italy and Croatia. Group D sets up some intriguing battles involving Germany, Republic of Ireland and Poland.
Hosts France were added to Group I after the draw in order for them to secure competitive international friendlies during the course of qualification, meaning they will come up against the likes of Portugal and Denmark twice each before the finals begin on June 10, 2016.
The first games of the qualifying stage will be played over the weekend of September 7-9, 2014, with 23 teams in total eventually joining France in the tournament finals.
