Egypt winger Mohamed Salah won a penalty before scoring himself as AS Roma romped to a 4-0 win over Udinese in their opening Italian Serie A game on Saturday.
Substitute Diego Perotti converted two penalties and expected title-challenger Roma produced a second-half outburst to beat visiting Udinese as the Giallorossi prepare for the return leg of the Champions League playoffs.
Perotti's first spot kick came after Edin Dzeko used a sharp change of direction to make defender Danilo fall on top of him.
Perotti played a part in drawing the second penalty, sending a through ball to Mohamed Salah, who sped past the defence, prompting Emmanuel Badu to tug him over.
Dzeko made it 3-0 from close range in the 82nd and Salah finished things off two minutes later on the rebound after his header was parried by the keeper.
After a 1-1 draw in the opening leg, Roma host Porto on Tuesday, hoping to advance to the Champions League group stage.
