Striker Eden Hazard has expressed happiness at being compared to Barcelona hero Lionel Messi, as expectations seemed rise on the Belgium striker after his 32 million pound move from Lille to Chelsea.

Hazard said he is not in the least bit fazed about being compared to World Footballer of the Year , Messi.

"Messi is the world's best player and it's a bit of an exaggeration to say I can be that good. But I am happy if people see similarities between us and being compared to Messi makes me think about what I can achieve with Chelsea rather than the obstacles I need to overcome to get there," The Sun quoted Hazard, as saying.

The former French Footballer of the Year, who turned down offers from Manchester City and Manchester United this summer in favour of a 150,000 pounds-a-week Chelsea deal, admits that it was the prospect of joining the reigning European champions which ultimately swayed his decision.

"Chelsea had the most convincing argument for me to join and obviously being the Champions League winners was a big factor in my choice," he said.

"Chelsea is a fantastic club with fantastic players and they can give me the best possible chance to progress as a player," he added. (ANI)
