Jose Mourinho has walked out of Chelsea's pre-match press conference in Romania when asked about the exclusion of Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The 22 year-old was left out of the traveling team and is reportedly training with Chelsea's U21's while the Blues are in Romania.

Asked about De Bruyne's situation at the club, Mourinho became agitated and spoke his mind before exiting the conference room.

‘I don’t like this tendency that you only ask about the players not selected,’ Mourinho said before walking out.

‘This is fantastic because no one asks me about Mata. Three weeks you have been asking me about Mata.

‘I try to decide by what they do on the pitch when they play and what they do in training. I make mistakes but I try to be honest all the time.

‘With Kevin, he’s not been selected because I didn’t like the match he played against Swindon.’ (via Metro)

Mourinho has an incredibly deep midfield meaning matchday selection was never going to be easy for the Portuguese manager. He'd been criticized for leaving Juan Mata out of the side since the beginning of the season, but his decision to play the Spaniard in the second half against Tottenham this weekend has seemingly cooled reports that Mata will look to leave Stamford Bridge in the winter.

Now all eyes have shifted on the situation of De Bruyne.

Do you think Mourinho was right to leave the press-conference?
