Bayern Munich's sporting director Christoph Freund refused to rule out a possible move for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.
The Austrian official told Sky Sports Deutschland reporter Florian Plettenberg: "The transfer window is approaching. Generally speaking, there are some talks, but I don't want to say anything about that in detail.'
It is believed that Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that he wants the Uruguay star urgently.
Tuchel is keen on bringing the 24-year-old preferably in January or in the summer by any means possible.
The Bavarian giants are willing to pay a massive sum to seal the deal.
Araujo has a deal that runs until the summer of 2026 with a current market value of €70 million, according to Transfermarkt.
