German giants Bayern Munich have reportedly taken the pole position in the race against Manchester United and Chelsea to buy Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski for a Champions League coup.
Lewandowski's advisers have drawn out a deal with an unnamed club, which is understood to be Bayern Munich, the Mirror reports.
The report said that although Lewandowski has expressed his readiness to move on after he insisted that he would not sign a new deal at Dortmund, however Dortmund is determined not to sell another prize asset to their fierce rivals.
According to the report, Dortmund will now have to consider whether to begin an auction for Lewandowski, who has one year left on his contract.
Bayern have already poached Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze from their Bundesliga rivals and Champions League final opponents, the report added. (ANI)
