Barcelona appears to have dropped interest in Manchester City star Bernardo Silva, as they eye a loan move for Xavi Simons.

The Spanish giants were linked with the Portuguese winger in recent months, however, they seem to have turned their attention towards the Paris Saint-Germain youngster, according to Sport.

Simons is spending the season on loan at RB Leipzig and is enjoying life at the Bundesliga side, having scored nine goals and provided 15 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.

The Netherlands international spent nine years in Barca's youth system before leaving for the Parisian giants in 2019.

PSG are set to lose Kylian Mbappe this summer, and it remains to be seen if they are willing to let the 21-year-old leave as well.
