The newly-built Al Wakrah Stadium – a FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament venue – will be inaugurated next month when it hosts the 2019 Amir Cup final.
Qatar Football Association (QFA) and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), the organization responsible for delivering the infrastructure required for Qatar 2022, jointly announced during a press conference that the 40,000-capacity venue would host the final.
Prior to the match which will kick off at 10.30pm on Thursday, 16 May, a stadium inauguration ceremony will take place.
