Saudi Pro League heavyweights Al-Nassr have confirmed the appointment of Stefano Pioli as new head coach on Thursday.

The former AC Milan boss put pen to paper on a three-year deal, having left Milan in May.

He will take over from Luis Castro, who was sacked on Tuesday due to poor results.

The Italian is set to work with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane at Al-Awwal Park.

The 58-year-old was linked with Al-Ittihad back in July, and reports claimed he had accepted a lucrative three-year contract.

However, the Jeddah giants opted to go with Laurent Blanc.
