Reading FC goalkeeper and Oman international Ali al Habsi is hopeful that the Royals can seal a berth in the English Premier League with a win over Huddersfield in the Championship playoff final at the Wembley Stadium on Monday. The match kicks off at 6pm.

Habsi, who played a stellar role in the team's march to the playoff final, told Muscat Daily, “It is a big game tomorrow. I will be playing at Wembley for the third time, but it is the first final for me at the venue. The last two times (when he played for his former club Wigan), I was on the winning side and I hope that we make it to the Premier League. It will be a dream come true for me,” said the 35 year old, who was recently named the Reading player of the season for the second successive time.

“It is a great achievement to make it to the playoff final and it will be perfect to conclude the season with a place in the Premier League,” said the Oman team captain.

Reading defeated Fulham 2-1 on aggregate to advance to the final, while Huddersfield got past Sheffield Wednesday in the other semifinal.
