Al-Attiyah leads in Lebanon International Rally

Qatari champion driver Nasser Saleh al-Attiyah won the opening stage of the 40th edition of the International Rally of Lebanon, the fourth round of the Middle East Rally Championship for the 2017 season.

The International Rally of Lebanon began at RPM circuit in Al Mtein region with a 2.56 km stage. The total distance of the Rally is 672.75 km with 32 cars taking part.

Al-Attiyah managed to win the first place in the stage yesterday after recording the fastest time of 2: 02.15 minutes, ahead of the Lebanese driver Abdo Feghali, who finished second with 2: 05.03 minutes, while his brother Roger Feghali finished in third place with 2: 06.12 minutes.

The second day of the rally will include three stages of speed, which will be repeated twice. The first phase will be of 14.63 kilometers from the area of Al-Moncef. The second phase, which is 21.40 kilometres long, will start from Ain Aya, while the third phase starts from the area of Sourat with a length of 28.85 km.
