African Handball Nations Championship – Tunisia Lose Title to Egypt 23-27

Tunisia’s handball team lost its title of African champions after conceding defeat to Egypt’s 23-27 (first half: 11-15) at a final game of the 24th edition of the African Nations Championship played Sunday evening in Rades.

Egypt, who won their 7th title, booked their ticket for the Tokyo-2020 Olympic Games, while Tunisia will play in the Olympic Qualification Tournaments (TQO), scheduled for next April in Germany, Denmark and Norway with along with Algeria that had previously finished third thanks to their win over Angola 32-27, in a placement match.

The top six: Tunisia, Algeria, Angola, Cape Verde, Morocco, DR Congo plus hosts Egypt have qualified for the World Championship to be held in 2021.
