Gaza militants fired a projectile at Israel late Friday, the army said, as the exchanges of fire between the Palestinian enclave and Jewish state continued with no end in sight. The projectile, which set off air raid sirens in Israel's south, was "intercepted by the Iron Dome Aerial Defence System", the army said in a statement, according to AFP. Earlier Friday, Israeli warplanes bombed the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, as Palestinians fired rockets and launched fire bombs into southern Israel.
