Spain's "Els Enfarinats" festival is a 200-year-old traditional event where participants wear military clothes and stage a mock coup d'etat as they battle using flour, eggs and firecrackers in the south-eastern Spanish town of Ibi. This event is considered as part of the celebrations of the Day of the Innocents, a traditional day in Spain for pulling pranks. "Els Enfarinats" festival is celebrated annually on December 28.

The Czech Republic is well known for its blown glass decorations which increases during the holy season "Christmas". Workers create various, colorful tree and house decorations. In the Ponikla village, which is located in the Liberec Region, the glass craft is still super familiar and its still passed from a generation to another. The "handmade production of Christmas tree decorations from blown glass beads" earned a place on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage last year, AFP reported.
