Armistice Day is a yearly event that is marked on 11 November to commemorate the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne.
Despite Covid-19 crisis European leaders have marked this special day with the French President Macron has led Armistice Day commemorations at Place Clemenceau in Paris, while people could able only to watch the ceremony throught T.V.
On the other hand, in Belgium, only six people participated in the event, at the Menin Gate in Ypres,staging at a monument carved with the names of some 54,000 fallen British and Commonwealth soldiers.
Meanwhile in UK's London, Prince Charles, laid a wreath of red roses and bay leaves at the tomb of the unknown warrior at Westminster Abbey.
