Egyptians have recently marked the 11th anniversary of the January 25 revolution launched in 2011 and lasted for around a month. It consisted of demonstrations, marches, occupations of plazas, non-violent civil resistance, acts of civil disobedience and strikes.
Millions of demonstrators from a range of socio-economic and religious backgrounds demanded the overthrow of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak as they were frustrated with his presidency.
The streets of Cairo were turned into a canvas that emanated political expression for years to come with murals and graffiti as people expressed injustice and harsh living conditions throughout art, Egyptian Streets reported.
