#boycottfrance: Anti-Macron Campaigns Lunched Ahead of The President's Islamophobic Remarks

Published October 25th, 2020 - 06:12 GMT

Several campaigns emerged on the social media against French President Emmanuel Macron's Islamophobic comments after the murder of teacher Samuel Paty.

Using different hashtags such as "#boycottfrance #boycott_French_products #ProphetMuhammad", Arab activists also called for the boycott of all French products. Others decided to take their campaigns to streets rising anti-Macron as protest against his anti-Muslims ideas.

Macron, earlier, attacked Islam and the Muslim community, and accused Muslims of 'separatism'. He also described Islam as 'a religion in crisis all over the world'.

The president's remarks were made after Abdullah Anzorov beheaded French teacher Samuel Paty after he showed his class insulting cartoons of Prophet Muhammad.
