Samsung sponsors the annual anniversary of Amman Tech Tuesdays

Samsung Electronics Levant, a global leader in digital media and convergence technologies and the winner of innovation in the world of electronics, sponsored the annual anniversary of Amman Tech Tuesdays, which was held May 3, 2011 at Zara Expo. 

The most outstanding part of this technical event is the Samsung sponsorship of a 3D project presented by one of the students.  There was also a special area for the Samsung booth that displayed Samsung IT products including NPC and LCD screens.  Additionally, Samsung distributed Tick Tocks to all visitors of the booth and also gave the opportunity for people who tried the NPC to talk about their experience.  

Samsung’s sponsorship of Amman Tech Tuesdays at its annual anniversary was considered as a great support and encouragement to all technology in its various facets and the new technical projects.  

It is worth mentioning that the Amman Tech Tuesdays has come a long way since its establishment last year, 2010. Hence, the anniversary celebration gave way to exhibit all the technical productions that the local society has accomplished throughout this year. So, they displayed the first 50 projects from the local technical scene in addition to all the hopeful emerging projects that will be accomplished. 

In addition to the display of the various projects, several speakers including H.E. Karim Kawar, Chairman of Kawar Group, Dr. Abdel Malik Jaber, COO of Zain, Mr. Husni Khuffash, Country Manager of Microsoft Jordan, and Mr. Jawad Abbassi, CEO of Arab Advisors Group made speeches. These speeches comprised of inspiring talks about Jordan’s technology scene, lessons learned, and why we are in fact the technology hub of the Middle East. 

Sangsuk Roh, president of Samsung Electronics Levant, stated Samsung Electronics is a leading company of the technology field globally, this is why it is of tremendous concern to support the technical projects that will speed up technology on the local, national, and global levels. There is a well-known fact that Jordan represents the technological axis to the Middle East and that’s why the Amman Tech Tuesday is considered the founding stone of the Jordan Technology advancement. Therefore, Samsung has to be a part of it to support this progress through direct sponsorship of this event.”
