ALBAWABA - As the situation in Sudan worsens, many videos emerged on social media documenting the horrible situation people are facing, including starvation, torture and killings.
One clip circulates widely on the internet claiming to show a Sudanese mother holding her three little children while she is surrounded by paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
In the video, the mother is seen with her three kids, all very terrified by unknown armed forces who were heard using gunfire to terrorize the family.

Some people shared the clip, allegedly saying that it was shared by the RSF themselves on social media, while others claimed, the woman is Christian and that she was killed with her kids after filming the video; however, the video turned out to be misleading and was not captured in Al Fashir after it fell under the control of RSF militias.
Misbar, a leading journalistic website that focuses on fact-checking, confirmed that the clip was first published on TikTok on Sept. 12, over two months before RSF’s capture of Al Fashir city, north of Darfur.
TikTok user "ahmat.mourno.djou3" published the video, but without further details. So, it is unknown who took the video, not who was the group next to the Sudanese woman and her kids.
Misbar said that the TikTok account usually posts clips of the Darfur Joint Protection Force that fights alongside the Sudanese army.
Not only this one, a photo of a Sudanese mother holding her child in her arms in front of two armed men, went viral on social media platforms.
The picture circulated online, with many claiming it was also taken in Al Fashir city in Sudan and documents the RSF crimes against civilians. However, after a probe, the picture turned out to be an AI-generated image, taken from an Instagram reel of a page that says the video was made by Artificial Intelligence.
Although the mentioned footage doesn't show real clips from Al Fashir, during the past few days and since the capture of RSF over Al Fashir city on Oct. 26, the paramilitary group shared horrific clips 'proudly' showing its members torturing or killing civilians.
