Videos: Russian warplanes reach Kyiv, bomb sounds heard

ALBAWABA - Bombing and airstrikes were reported on Monday morning in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and were highlighted as the strongest in the capital since the start of the war.

Across Ukraine, 20 people were killed in airstrikes. Meanwhile, officials added that 7 were killed in attacks in the capital Kyiv amid unusual day-time attacks.

Videos were shared on social media platforms of Russian warplanes in the sky of the capital Kyiv. In one of the clips, at least four Russian jets were spotted in the sky of Kyiv.

In addition, in another footage, an apartment block in Kyiv was set on fire amid intensive airstrikes by Russia.

Oleksiy Goncharenko, a Ukrainian MP posted a clip of people hiding inside a metro station amid attacks by Russia and wrote: "Right now there is a massive missile attack on Ukraine. People in the Kyiv metro are hiding and said - Putin fuck you out loud."

AFP reported on Monday morning that explosions were heard in Kyiv and black smoke was seen over Ukraine's capital. over 10 explosions could be heard in the capital, according to reporters.

Telegram monitoring channels stated that the Russian missiles entered the Ukrainian airspace at around 10 a.m., heading in multiple directions, The Kyiv Independent added. 

"The children's hospital Okhmatdyt was damaged in the Shevchenkivsky district, there is destruction," the Kyiv City Military Administration said in a statement.

Pictures and videos of the children's hospital, Okhmatdyt, in the aftermath of the airstrike by Russia showed part of the building destroyed as many children were reported injured as shown in photos shared by activists on X.
