ALBAWABA - An unconfirmed video, shared by IRGC-affiliated Sabereen News, allegedly showed Taliban forces surrounding the border with Iran, Iran International reported on Saturday.
In the footage, the Taliban members were seen coming out of a truck near the border with Iran.
According to social media allegations, the Taliban is now preparing to attack Iran following border clashes and escalating tension between the Taliban and Iran.
Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported citing the country’s deputy police chief, Qassem Rezaei, who blamed the Taliban for opening fire first Saturday morning on the border of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province and the Afghan province of Nimroz.
Casualties were reported in clashes between the Taliban forces and Iran on the border between the two countries.
Furthermore, some people claimed and shared unconfirmed videos showing Taliban forces moving heavy arms and weapons toward the border with Iran.
Nevertheless, a video of the Taliban's Deputy Defense Minister Abdulhamid Khorasani talking about the rising tension between Afghanistan and Iran has gone viral after the Taliban official claimed his forces "Will take Tehran within few hours if Ameer ul Momineen (Taliban Supreme leader) allows."
Khorasani added that the Taliban forces are able to take full control over Iran in 24 hours.
