ALBAWABA - International condemnations were made following a video shared by Israeli National Security Minister Itmar Ben-Gvir, insulting and humiliating activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla that Tel Aviv detained and forcibly took to Israel.

Ben Gvir's office posted two clips on Wednesday depicting pro-Palestinian activists who were aboard a flotilla aiming to deliver aid to Gaza being arrested by the Israeli army and forcibly taken to the port of Ashdod, where they were mistreated.

In one of the videos, a woman shouted in English: "Free Palestine!" before being pushed to the ground by an armed officer and a sound heard telling her, "quiet, quiet".

The conservative minister said, "Good job." He added, "Welcome to Israel. We are the landlords here."

Flotilla abuse video drives outcry:

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, and Canadian Foreign Minister Anita, in addition to authorities in the Netherlands and Poland, have condemned the video in which activists were seen being subjected to human rights violations in the presence of Israeli minister Ben-Gvir.

Meloni posted on X, "The images of Israeli Minister Ben Gvir are unacceptable. It is unacceptable that these protesters, including many Italian citizens, are subjected to this treatment that violates their human dignity."

Additionally, Anand called the incident "deeply troubling".

Israel fails to whitewash its reputation after flotilla video:

After public outrage, the Israeli Foreign Ministry posted several videos on social media with the caption reading "These are our values". The clips show Israeli army soldiers and officers treating others nicely in a way to show that the clips by Ben-Gvir do not represent Israel and its people.

However, people responded to the footage, calling on the ministry not to try to polish itself as they have already seen how they treat activists and Palestinians, in addition to what happened during the two-year war in the Gaza Strip.

One commented, "Stop lying. You got caught on video." Another added, "The world now knows how inhumane your values really are."

An X user said, "The entire world has already seen it. You are simply inhuman."
