ALBAWABA - Italian DJ Anyma recently took the internet by storm after performing at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, which featured over-the-top VFX visuals, impressive light effects, and sound design.
However, while many electronic music fans praised the DJ's unique performance, several others accused it of attempting to incorporate satanic symbols and the takeover of AI through visuals and lighting.
Some social media users on X (formerly Twitter) compared the lighting effects that shone over Giza's skies to the Sigil of Lucifer, which is believed to be a symbol used in a ritual to invoke Lucifer (also biblically known as Satan).
Satanic ritual? Anyma Pyramids concert sparks debate
In contrast, others believed that it was a symbol of the beginning of a new era where artificial intelligence could rule over humanity, because Anyma's performance featured a massive CGI humanoid robot breaking free from what seemed to be a glass chamber while looking down on the thousands of fans attending the historic event.
Electronic Dance Music (EDM) concerts are often known for incorporating eye-catching CGI and creative lighting to provide the audience with an immersive and unforgettable experience. While many view the over-the-top visuals as "unnecessary" or "corny," others embrace them as part of the experience.
A social media user wrote on X, "Many people don’t understand the symbolism, the breaking of the veil of the robot and the rise of artificial intelligence represent the beast system."
Another added, "The entire scene appeared as a modern ritual broadcast from the oldest symbols of civilization to the world, a blend of human and machine and energy, as if the message was saying: 'A new era has begun… an era where consciousness is controlled, not the body.'"
