ALBAWABA - Baby monkey "Punch" is once again the talk of social media after a new AI-generated video went viral, showing him taking revenge on other monkeys in his troop, who bullied him in the past.

Punch, which now thrives at Ichikiawa Zoo in Japan, has been through a lot. The seven-month-old baby monkey was abandoned by his mother and bullied by older monkeys from his new troop, pushing him to find comfort in an orange monkey plushie. At first, Punch also had trouble making new friends.

While the zoo recently posted a video of the baby monkey finally making friends with his new troop, things didn't last long when he got attacked by a furious mother.

According to a statement shared by Ichikawa Zoo, Punch tried to socialise with another baby monkey but was ignored. After that, he was violently attacked by the baby monkey's mother, who dragged him around.

Now, the baby monkey has gone viral again after an individual shared an AI video depicting Punch getting revenge on other monkeys who bullied him during his first days at the Ichikawa Zoo in Japan. The seven-month-old was captured performing flying kicks and acrobatic moves on his bullies as "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas played in the background.

A social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "The timeline saw a baby monkey get bullied and instantly greenlit John Wick: Zoo Edition. This totally justifies the surging RAM prices lol."

Another added, "This tiny rejected macaque went from clinging to his plush mom for dear life… to straight-up John Wick mode on the whole troop. AI did what reality wouldn't: gave our boy the glow-up he deserved."

The plushie became a staple of Punch's character and gained traction on social media. This prompted Swedish multinational conglomerate IKEA to release a plushie inspired by Punch's viral stuffed animal. According to several reports, the comfort plushie is already selling out at IKEA stores.

As people eagerly await a restock, IKEA's "DJUNGELSKOG" is available for $19.99.
