ALBAWABA - Thailand is frustrated with Israeli tourists over their rude and disruptive behavior, as videos of several incidents flooded social media, with some going viral on TikTok.

Many Thai restaurant and shop owners have started displaying signs denying Israeli tourists entry. Signs that read, "Sorry, tourists from Israel are not welcome here" and "No Israel" were scattered across the country, including popular destinations such as Pai and Ko Pha Ngan.

According to Ynet News, many tourists are young Israeli soldiers who are visiting Thailand to seek "rest after months of service."

Other shops would refuse to host or welcome Israeli tourists due to Israel's occupation of Palestine and the country's two-year aggression on Gaza, which resulted in the killing of over 68,000 Palestinians. Similar events took place in other countries, including Italy and Spain.

In response to heightened tensions, Thai police also started putting up signs in hopes of correcting the troublesome behavior of Israeli tourists. Additionally, this prompted the local government to set up a meeting with Tel Aviv officials to explore possible solutions to the issue at hand.

Several reports claim that Israeli tourists are reportedly being violent and aggressive towards Thai locals, demanding free services, shoplifting, stealing from donation boxes, and being rowdy in public spaces.

Several other videos on social media captured a violent dispute that occurred between Israeli tourists and local Thai transgender women in Phuket Island. Another video posted back in May 2025 captured an Israeli tourist telling a local restaurant owner that her money helps build Thailand.
