ALBAWABA - A chilling repetition of Mahsa Amini's tragic story unfolds as 16-year-old Armita Geravand finds herself in a coma, allegedly following an assault by Iran's morality police in Tehran, in connection with her perceived violation of dress code regulations.

Regrettably, Geravand's ordeal closely mirrors the heart-wrenching narrative of Mahsa Amini, who met a similar fate in Iran just over a year ago.

Reportedly, Geravand sustained a brain injury that resulted in her falling into a coma. Tragically, her condition deteriorated, leading to her recent passing.

This grim turn of events occurred on October 1 when Geravand entered a comatose state, and it was confirmed last week that she had suffered brain death.

The eerie similarity between Geravand's and Amini's experiences is undeniably unsettling. Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian, had also faced apprehension by the morality police due to her perceived non-compliance with headscarf regulations, a situation that ultimately culminated in her untimely demise merely three days later.

Mahsa Amini's tragic passing, which bore a haunting resemblance to the recent events, triggered months of widespread protests and violence across Iran.
