ALBAWABA - An Iranian man escaped the situation in Tehran, fled to Turkey, and posted a video explaining what is really happening in the country amid anti-government protests and continued internet shutdown.
"Metrics show #Iran remains offline as the country wakes to another day of digital darkness," according to an announcement by Netblocks via X. Internet shutdown has now lasted over 132 hours.
Protests erupted in Iran on Dec. 28, 2025, against the economic situation and the sharp fall of the country's currency and expanded to include anti-government slogans.
Iranian man escapes to Turkey, tells real situation
A man, who's called Merajii, who has 50.4K followers on Instagram, shared a clip confirming that he left Iran and reached Turkey, detailing that the security forces in Iran are "killing everyone".
Meraj official said, "Guy's I just arrived in Turkey with a lot of trouble, I'm not feeling well at all. They are killing everyone. They are killing people's kids in the streets." He added that the only help Iranians can get is foreign interference.
"Only foreign help matters. Everyone calls the prince. He is not really a prince; the prince symbolizes freedom. People see him as a saviour." "I saw hell in Iran. I saw hell in Iran these past days."
The Iranian man also explained that Iranian security forces are shooting directly at chests.
