ALBAWABA - Recent reports indicated that Elon Musk is already leaving his position at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), but it was all proven false when the Tesla CEO himself took to X and shut down the claims in question.
Musk took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, "Yeah, fake news" in response to another post shared on the social media platform claiming that he "will be stepping back in the coming weeks from his current role."

Elon Musk's response garnered nearly 35 million views and 100,000 likes, sparking debate and speculation around the widespread "scoop" by the journalist, Rachael Bade.
An X user wrote, "I've heard Elon say fake news before only to hear it's later true."
On the contrary, another added, "Media doing what they do best….. LIE."
Moreover, the post in question, which journalist Rachael Bade shared, adds that the departure comes mutually from both US President Donald Trump and Musk, stating further that outside allies have become frustrated with the billionaire's political decisions and unpredictability.
The news also reached the Assistant to the President and the White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, who stated on Musk's X that "This “scoop” is garbage." She added, "Elon Musk and President Trump have both *publicly* stated that Elon will depart from public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE is complete."
Musk refers to DOGE as a mission to save US taxpayers money and reduce the country's national debt, all under the government's surveillance, since the billionaire is claimed to be an employee of, according to the BBC.
