ALBAWABA - A shocking crime took place outside a school in Egypt, where a man stabbed his former wife to death outside a school in a tragic scene witnessed by the eyes of her young children and many passers-by and students.
The horrific incident that occurred outside the Al-Zaytoun school in the city of Sadat in Menoufia Governorate on Tuesday has sparked outrage among Egyptians.
Egyptian media outlets reported that a 26-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her ex-husband in front of a school as she was waiting for her children to finish school.
The tragic scene was witnessed by her young children, passersby, and students. According to the police's initial investigations, the perpetrator stabbed the Egyptian woman three times, fatally, in the chest, abdomen, and thigh, before fleeing the crime scene.
Eyewitnesses present at the time of the incident confirmed that the victim was waiting for her children outside the school as they were about to leave, when her ex-husband surprised her and engaged in a brief altercation that ended in a horrific crime, amid the screams of parents and students.
Security forces are continuing their intensive efforts to apprehend the perpetrator, who fled after committing his crime.
