ALBAWABA - Three individuals were arrested following reports of a Spanish tourist being subjected to a gang rape while on a motorbike journey through the secluded terrain of India's eastern region, as confirmed by local media sources.
The incident occurred during the evening hours of Friday in the Dumka district of Jharkhand, where the victim and her husband had chosen to camp overnight in a tent.
According to Police Officer Pitamber Singh Kherwar, the woman managed to approach a passing police patrol van at approximately 11 PM, subsequently receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital.
Kherwar further disclosed that authorities have taken three suspects into custody in connection with the assault, with efforts underway to locate additional individuals possibly involved.

The victim is presently receiving treatment at a local medical facility in Dumka, as investigations into the matter continue to unfold.
According to authorities, the couple had set up camp near a police station in the Dumka district on Friday night when several men attacked them while they were sleeping.
Recounting the incident, the husband, who is also Spanish, said they were assaulted while sleeping in their tent. The attackers threatened them with death and sexually assaulted his wife, a Spanish citizen of Brazilian origin.
The woman, visibly bruised in the video, said they were also robbed during the assault, clarifying, “We had very little, their real motive was to rape me.”
